Under the theme ‘administrative courage’ and the title "Who dares" municipalities, companies, urban professionals, scientists, civil society organizations, visionaries and citizens with courage come together to exchange knowledge and get inspired about economically strong, sustainable, future-proof and liveable cities.

After a bid book procedure in which enthusiastic proposals were received from the cities Den Bosch, Ede and The Hague, The Hague was chosen to be the host city for the Day of the City on 28 October 2019.
From the beginning of April proposals for presentations, workshops and debates can be submitted via the website https://dedagvandestad.nl. The program and the latest developments are announced on the website. The themes are: governance and cooperation & building, economy, energy, climate & sustainability, health, art & culture, mobility, education, social domain and safety.
